A
message from the Pastor:
Surveys show that the interest
in spirituality in America is higher than at any time in recent
history. Another study observes that one of the biggest and fastest
growing problems in our society is loneliness. It seems the more
crowded we get the more we feel isolated. Both of these seemingly
unrelated studies point to a single issue --- connectedness. People
need to get connected to God and to one another. At Covina United
Methodist Church our top priorities are spirituality and community.
And we offer those opportunities for connectedness in consideration
of the fact that each of us is different. Some are more outgoing
than others, some need more personal space. We have different theological
perspectives and are at different stages in our respective faith
journeys. We welcome people of all stages and conditions and offer
a place to come and get connected: spirituality affirmed in community.
That is who we are.
